Chesterfield County Public Library
HBA Architecture & Interior Design and Library Planning and Design (Denelle C. Wrightson) are working with Chesterfield County on a new Library to replace an existing Library on its current site. The new Library will be approximately 25,000 SF; in addition to serving its immediate community as a local branch, the new building will also function as Chesterfield County’s first Regional Library.
The Library will include approximately 100,000 volumes for circulation, a Meeting Room for up to 150 people, Study and Multipurpose Rooms of varying sizes, zones for Children and Teens, an Exhibit Area showcasing local historical artifacts, and an expansive staff area. A variety of programmed outdoor spaces provide opportunities for exploration, discovery, and peaceful contemplation across all demographics and age groups.
