The City of Chesapeake is working with Truxton Development to revitalize this brownfield site as part of the South Norfolk revitalization. This site plays a key role in the revitalization due to its prominent waterfront location.

The site will take advantage of views of a working waterfront along which includes 2 iconic vertical lift drawbridges that bound the north and south borders of the site. The character of the development will be that of a historic industrial working waterfront.

Urban Design Associates completed the planning study in February 2006. HBA in cooperation with Urban Design Associates is beginning design on the first phase of the project which includes approximately 250 residential units, 130,000 SF of office and 25,000 SF of retail along with a 900 car parking garage.
