HBA Architecture & Interior Design is pleased to announce that Jaime B. Rasmussen, AIA, LEED AP, GGP and David L. Smith, AIA have been named as Associate Principals of the firm.
Jaime has been with the firm since 2002. Her recent work, performed in collaboration with HBA’s Commercial Studio, includes programming, schematic design, design development, construction document supervision, multi-discipline consultant coordination, and construction administration services. Her project experience includes commercial, industrial, and mixed-use facilities.
Key projects include the New Administration Building for Liebherr Mining and Construction Equipment Inc in Newport News, Portsmouth Judicial Center and Dollar Tree Distribution Center Facilities in TX, SC, MO, CT, OK, OH and IL.
David has been with the firm since 2010. His recent work, performed in collaboration with HBA’s Community Studio, includes concept design and visualization, programming, schematic design, design development, construction document supervision, multidiscipline consultant coordination, and construction administration. His project experience includes community, public safety, recreational, educational, and office facilities.
Key projects include Kellam High School in Virginia Beach, Chesapeake Beach Fire and EMS Station in Virginia Beach, Portsmouth Behavioral Healthcare Services, South Norfolk Library in Chesapeake, Chesapeake Fire Station #7 and Police Precinct #6, Accomack County Health Department and Prince George Fire Station #7.
