Today we celebrate one of our very own, Alexis Hudson, and the end of her term serving as President of @IIDAVAWV !  When asked how she took on such a prominent leadership role so early in her career, she said, ”I rely on my board members and draw on their strengths. I leverage my own to ensure we carry equal voices in the room.  Design work requires a team, and I’ve developed a leadership style to capitalize on that fact.”

During her tenure, she secured $13,000 in grant funding to transform the IIDA website with additional “member’s only” content,  and expanded resources and accessibility to NCIDQ study materials. As of today, she moves into her role as Past President. She’ll be facilitating the Diversity in Design webinar series with IIDA this summer- you won’t want to miss it.
