CANstruction celebrates 20 years
Last month HBA participated in the 20th anniversary of CANstruction®, an event that benefits the FoodBank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore by collecting much needed canned goods for their pantry while showcasing the talents of the participating firms. Participating firms design a structure using those cans.
Our structure of around 1,600 cans is based on the Cape Henry Lighthouses located on the waterfront of Fort Story in Virginia. Using the lighthouse showed the need to shine a light on the issue of hunger and to provide light to those who do not have food today.
It’s a worthy cause and a lot of fun to participate in.
