A New Whitney
Recently, the New York Times published an interesting review for Renzo Piano’s new $422 million dollar freestanding museum for the Whitney. The article touches on how Piano blended the history of the Whitney Museum with regards to the changing social geography of the city. We found most interesting that Piano chose to let the building frame visitor’s views of other people, recognizing that people want to look at other people and other things happening rather than stare at water.
