At the Children’s Museum, kids off all ages will delight in face painting, creepy crafts, illusionist shows, and show off their costumes. At the Portsmouth Art and Cultural Center, kids can also create their own monster mask and participate in a courtyard “Monster Mash,” complete with a ghostly photo opportunity. Join the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard Museum for activities and crafts, including luminaries and spyglasses as well as some pirate themed activities. Enjoy ghost stories and the eerie sounds of maritime folk tales and local shipwrecks. Finally, the Lightship PORTSMOUTH will be transformed into the “Frightship!” Board this haunted vessel to meet the “Ghost Guard” and fend off the local pirates.

Following Museum Madness, families can enjoy trick or treating along the several blocks of the High Street corridor from 6:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m., which is sponsored by the Olde Towne Business Association.
