Is Drawing a Lost Art?

Here at HBA we embrace hand drawing as a valuable part of the design process. As architect Michael Graves so elegantly stated in a recent article, “Architecture cannot divorce itself from drawing, no matter how impressive the technology gets. Drawings are not just end products: they are part of the thought process of architectural design. Drawings express the interaction of our minds, eyes and hands,” and “That visceral connection, that thought process, cannot be replicated by a computer.”  Read the full article, “Architecture and the Lost Art of Drawing,” and let us know your thoughts.  Is drawing a lost art?
