An Angel Among Us

I’ve never met a person who gives his time like our own Bobby Sharon. He does not want glory, he isn’t looking for what he can get out of it – he’s the Energizer bunny of volunteerism! It’s nearly impossible to keep up with his acts of kindness. On October 3, 2012, Bobby was elected secretary of The Healing Place of Hampton Roads Executive Board, a non-profit 501(c)(3) recovery and rehabilitation facility for homeless people with alcohol and drug dependency, proposed for Hampton Roads, VA.

A few other items on Bobby’s list of good-heartedness include:

• Adopt A Highway coordination for HBA
• BEACH Community Partnership Executive Board Member and Secretary
• Deliver Bliss Bakery donations weekdays to The Union Mission Ministries and Seton Youth Shelter
• Junior Achievement volunteer
• Southeastern Virginia Mustang Club
• Stand Up For Kids Director of Community Resource Development
• The Healing Place Board Member and Secretary
• York High School After Prom Fundraiser Car Show Coordinator
