Taco Tuesday

Last week, HBA employees took part in a fundraising effort of gastronomic proportions.  We threw an all-out Mexican Fiesta, complete with beef and chicken tacos, all the fixin’s, chips and salsa, sodas, and desserts!  All items coast $1 and the money went toward our “Jeans for Means” fund, from which we support charities such as Junior Achievement, Virginia Food Banks, and Special Olympics.  Although we typically contribute by donning blue jeans and sneakers on Fridays, this time we happily chowed down for a good cause.  The event raised $28, bringing the Jeans for Means grand total to $8618 since 2008!

The smell of tacos even enticed some of our neighbors in One Columbus to join in on the fun!  And what Taco Party is truly complete without Mexican Fiesta music?  Thanks to the organizing efforts of Teresa McLaughlin, Bobby Sharon, and Rebecca Dozier, and to everyone who participated to make this a successful event!
