Proud Father

My daughter Jennifer Sharon just graduated from West Virginia University with a degree in Child and Family Development. Her goal is to become a child life specialist with a children’s hospital. She is currently seeking an internship with Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters in Norfolk. She has to complete 480 hours with an accredited program to sit for the licensing exam.

Jennifer decided to attend West Virginia University because of their top 25 gymnastics program. She has participated in club gymnastics since she was 8 years old. She joined the WVU gymnastic team in 2009 as a walk on. She competed with the team for two years and was team manager for two years.

Jennifer’s passion for working with children started with youth coaching in club gymnastics. I think her passion rubbed off on me with my recent involvement with Junior Achievement and Stand Up For Kids. I am sharing my networking opportunities with Jennifer to introduce her to the likes of Seton Youth Shelters and other agencies that keep kids connected as they prepare to become young adults. Jennifer graduated Magna Cum Laude and I am so proud of her in choosing a career to change the lives of children.
